Winter 2008
Sunday, January 21, 2008, 2:00 p.m. - Henry and Mudge by Theatreworks USA
Moving from the city to a new house in the country can be tough. Just ask Henry. He misses Annie, his cousin and best friend, and can't find a playmate in his new neighborhood. Henry and Mudge, TheatreworksUSA's new musical based on the best-selling children's books written by Cynthia Rylant about a boy and his great big canine buddy will resonate with every child who has struggled to connect with a new friend in a new venue. This "new children's musical eschews the Disney treatment in favor or character-driven, physical comedy." (The New Yorker, January 8, 2007)
Transport your children "deeper into Henry's childhood world: a sweet, slightly uncertain place, with a scary forest just beyond the picket fence." This 60-minute musical is recommended for ages 4 and up.
