This course will be held in the Hershey Room on Wednesday mornings, June 14 through June 28 fom 9:30 until 12:30. Registration is required and begins May 30.
ABOUT THE CLASS If writing is something that interests you, and you'd like to someday get published, then this class is for you! Through interactive sessions, participants will learn how and where to find story ideas, and how to turn them into a complete story. Emphasis will be on developing strong characters and dialogue, as well as a good plot. Writing exercises will provide practice. At the final class, participants will share their stories, and receive positive feedback from everyone.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Judy Wolfman is a published children's author of nine non-fiction books, a collection of 40 scripted how and why stories based on multicultural folktales and Native American legends for readers theatre, five children's plays, and many short stories and articles for magazines. She is also a professional storyteller, and teaches classes and workshops on storytelling and creative writing at colleges, schools, libraries and conferences.
