Instructions for Using MyLibrary DV
- Visit the MyLibrary DV site through the Hershey Library website.
- Install the MyLibrary DV Download Manager. This takes approximately 2-3 minutes.
- Once downloaded, the MyLibrary DV program will appear in your Programs Menu as the Permission TV folder. Inside that folder is a program entitled Hershey Public Library. This is the program you will use to download and view online video content from MyLibrary DV. After you have installed this program, you do not have to access MyLibrary DV through the Hershey Public Library website.
- When you launch the Hershey Public Library download manager program, you will have access to menus for each video category. Be patient - our testing has shown the program takes at least a minute to load.
- Browse through the categories and select the video or videos you wish to download.
- Click the 'download' button.
- Enter your Hershey Public Library card number. You must have a valid library card to download videos. Confirm that you wish to download that particular video.
- The download process begins once the system authenticates your card number and you have confirmed the download. After the file is downloaded, it is available for viewing - just click the play button. Once the play button appears, it is possible to view the video - it does not have to finish downloading first.
