Volunteers worked more than 4,499 hours for the library during 2005.

Hershey Public Library would be a very much less efficient and welcoming place without the people who worked those hours.

Volunteers are relied upon to provide many services, including the following:

  • Returning books to shelves
  • Preparing date-due cards
  • Repairing items
  • Assisting with programs
  • Collecting books all year round and organizing an extremely successful book sale each August

 Volunteer work is for all ages, it is satisfying and rewarding. Some volunteers have been working at the library for years and some for decades. We thank them all.
