Ready for another Wii Game Day??

Come to the library Sunday, February 12th from 1:30 to 4:30PM to play games on the Nintendo Wii. All ages and skill levels welcome (this includes you, grandparents!).

We have games and remotes to use, but feel free to bring games from home if you'd like (please make sure they are rated E for Everyone). Don't be afraid to come and give it a try! We will have people here to help you out if it's your first time!

Learn to Crochet

Learn to Crochet - Wed. Feb 8 from 6-8 PM

This class will cover the basic stitches - chain, single, double, and slip stitch - and how to read a pattern and symbols. You will learn enough to start on many easy patterns available for free on the internet, or from books and magazines.

Fee: $25
This will cover the cost of the class and the materials (instruction book, patterns, one skein of yarn, and one hook).

Class will be taught by Jane Rimmer, a retired math teacher who has been crocheting for more than 50 years!

"Hunger Games" Nerf Dart War

Coming soon to HPL: "Hunger Games" Nerf Dart War!

This event will be Friday, March 16th 5:00 - 7:00PM after the library is closed.

Ages 12-14 are eligible to play, 20 players max; ages 15 and up are needed to be "Peacekeepers". Sign-ups for both will begin on March 2nd. Registration is required.

You will need to bring your own Nerf Dart Gun and Darts, and have your name on EVERY PIECE. No modifications allowed, and you are required to bring eye protection (swimming goggles, sunglasses, etc.). There will be 5 Unbreakable Rules players have to follow...and we will provide a "District 13 Safe Zone" for parents who would like to stay and watch.
