The Youth Leadership Initiative (YLI) at the University of Virginia Center for Politics, a non-partisan group, will excite our children about the 2008 election. YLI will demonstrate the importance of civic action through hands-on activities including song writing. Children will examine the process by which a president is elected and understand the importance of citizen participation in the democratic process.
