| Distinguished author Joyce Carol Oates will be our guest for this special event. A prolific and versatile writer, Ms. Oates has numerous novels, works of non-fiction, poetry, essays, reviews, plays, and short stories. Her writing has earned her much critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in short fiction, the Rosenthal Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, a Guggenheim Fellowship, the O. Henry Prize for Continued Achievement in the Short Story, the National Book Award, and membership in the American Academy of Arts and Letters since 1978. Ms. Oates is the Roger S. Berlind Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at Princeton University.
