| When we meet both Scout Finch and Harry Potter, each is a child with a whimsical notion of how magical life could be in a fanciful world. Each, however, is quickly confronted with the demands of a real world, in which dreams, fancies, and even idealism are challenged. It is in this real world that both Scout and Harry grow from children who capture our imaginations into adults who inspire our admiration. Join Professor Randy Lee for an evening of reflection on what Harry Potter and Scout Finch can teach us about rules, judgment, justice, and the lifelong process of growing up. Professor Lee is a Professor of Law at Widener University School of Law’s Harrisburg Branch. He is also working on the Hershey Theatre’s production of To Kill a Mockingbird, scheduled to be performed November 18. |
