Drumming with "Doc"

“Doc” Gibbs is bringing his colorful array of percussion instruments from Africa, Cuba and Brazil to Hershey! Did you know that drums can talk? Doc will demonstrate how and why. Participants will learn “call and response” songs and dances from various African provinces. Even better – children will be given the opportunity to play percussive rhythms that, in many African cultures, reflect the tempo and movement of daily life. Let your kids chime, gong and drum at the library! There will be no “quiet please” at this program!
