Hershey Public Library

In February 2004, Janet Maynard, retired circulation manager at the Hershey Public Library, and her husband Jim toured the Antarctica Peninsula, South Orkney Islands, South Georgia Island, and the Falkland Islands for nearly three weeks. They experienced daily zodiac tours and walks on the lands, walks among the penguins and near the seals, watching the albatrosses on their nests, kayaking among the ice and wildlife, and so much more. A professional videographer captured their adventures on an hour and a half DVD, which will be shown at the program as Janet and Jim share their experiences. Come and experience vicariously the wonder and magic of the “White Continent” and islands in the Sub-Antarctic.
