Bulletin Board Policy
Library bulletin boards are to be used to post the following, in priority order:
- Library information and events Township information and events Non-profit, educational or cultural information and events, in Derry Township or adjacent communities Non-profit fund-raisers for Derry Township or adjacent communities that do not directly compete with Library or Township fund-raisers
- For-profit educational or cultural information and events deemed to be of interest to Library users
The Library will not post commercial advertisements, for-sale flyers, or service advertisements. However, the Children’s Dept. may, at their option, provide information about daycare, tutors, or other services for juveniles as warranted.
Brochure Rack Policy
Library brochure racks are to be used for distribution of the following, in priority order:
- Library information and events Township information and events Information from non-profits of Derry Township or adjacent communities, Information on non-profit fund-raisers occurring in Derry Township or adjacent communities that do not directly compete with Library or Township fund-raisers Free local newspapers
- Information from for-profit businesses or enterprises related to tourism or living in Derry Township or adjacent communities, as deemed to be of interest to Library users
The Library will not distribute purely commercial advertisements, for-sale flyers, or service advertisements. However, the Children’s Dept. may, at their option, provide information about daycare, tutors, or other services for juveniles as warranted.
