Even though the library has a very fast connection, at times the computer may seem unreasonably slow. While technical errors beyond your control may cause the computer to slow down or freeze, there are some things you can do if you think the computer is simply too slow or not responding at all:
- Are you downloading or watching streaming video?
- Have you opened multiple instances of a web browser or other program?
- Are you playing an online game?
- If you are on the Internet, does the page you're viewing contain advertisements? Large images? Animation? Audio?
- If the computer seemed unresponsive, did you click the mouse several times?
- Are you sure you're not watching video?
