Mirrors, Windows, & Sliding Glass Doors Family Book Group

Bi-monthly family book group.

Children need books and media to be mirrors, windows, and sliding glass doors. They need to see themselves reflected in the world around them, to see through windows into others’ lives, and to walk through the sliding glass doors to create a loving community.

Using a grant from Beanstack, the Hershey Public Library is offering an opportunity for families to read and discuss books written by BIPOC authors and illustrators. Our goal is to celebrate our diverse community and to find joy in each other.

Books will be provided through the grant for families to keep. Ms. Aly and Ms. Rita will lead the discussions, but we look forward to welcoming special guests to these bi-monthly Zoom meetings.
