Hershey Reads

Hershey Reads is a community reading initiative to promote communication, empathy, and creativity. Book selections are to be read and shared with friends, family, and community. Share your story and embrace the stories of others.

Hershey Reads centers around two books. The Community Read is Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and the Family Read is When You Trap A Tiger by Tae Keller. Shelby Van Pelt is a New York Times Bestselling Author and Tae Keller is a Newberry Award Winning Author. We are thrilled to announce that both authors of the chosen books will be speaking at the library for Hershey Reads.

In partnership with Friends of the Hershey Public Library, The Hershey Public Library will be hosting a variety of other events in connection with Hershey Reads in addition to the author visits. Highlights include a Human Library, Storytelling Festival, and more!
