Starting in November, HPL patrons can pick up items in an outdoor book locker any time day or night. Here’s how it works:
- Log in to your online account at: https://clic.polarislibrary.com/polaris/logon.aspx
- Browse for an item
- Click ‘Place Request’
- Next to ‘Pickup Library’, use the drop-down menu to select ‘Book Locker’
- Click ‘Submit Request’
- Library staff will check the book out to you
- Once the item is checked out and placed in the book locker, you will receive an email containing an access code and QR code needed to retrieve the item.
- Book locker holds will be available for 3 days from receipt of the notification e-mail. Please call the library at 717-533-6555 if you need more time to pick up an item.
- At the book locker, select Patron on the touch screen
- Enter the code from your email or scan the QR code
- The locker containing your item(s) will open
- Remove your items and enjoy
